I’m still on a high after an incredible long birthday weekend. I don’t normally stretch out my bday, but it just sort of fell that way this year and it was lovely. It started with dinner at a fave spot and an incredible Broadway show with my dear husband on Friday night. Then on Saturday we hung out as a family until I went out in the West Village with a friend. On Sunday, I had brunch and then a Korean head spa with a bestie while Albert took Finn to a carnival. I ended the night with Taco Bell and the Tonys. Finally, I took Monday off for a full me day. I strolled in the sun with a coffee, scored some great vintage finds, and discovered an amazing new omakase spot. 41 is off to a great start.

Finn’s school was closed Thursday and Friday of last week and his normal camp wasn’t running, so I took Thursday off to watch him. We had a full and fun day. We started with breakfast at our favorite diner, hit up the candy store, went to the SlooMoo Institute, and even watched a movie. By the end of the day, we were both exhausted but both couldn’t stop saying how much fun we had.

I took Monday off for my birthday but didn’t get to sleep in – I still had to take Finn to school. I didn’t mind because it meant I finally got to go to All School Sing. Every Monday (yup, every single one), all the kids in the elementary school sing in the auditorium right after the gates close. The little ones learn from the big kids and it’s just a really nice community-building activity. Parents are invited to attend, but I’ve never been able to since it would make me late to work. Since I wasn’t going into work, I was able to stay and it was adorable! I could also tell it made Finn happy to have a parent in the audience.

I was very bloated for most of last week, but my belly chilled out just in time for my birthday so I was able to rock a crop top. I like to think it was my body’s bday prezzie to me.
